Help Situation Go From Impossible To Feasible
The NW Hope & Healing Patient Assistance Fund focuses on supporting women in our community. After paying for medical care, deductibles, co-pays and prescriptions, many women face a shortfall at the end of the month for basic needs like food, rent and childcare. One recent study reports out-of-pocket medical related expenses for women battling breast cancer to be $1,500 a month. Imagine the $1,500 adding up over the course of a year, and the amount is overwhelming.

Please join us for our annual 5k as we raise money and awareness to help meet the unmet needs of women who are battling breast cancer.

Bring your friends, family and co-workers to Alki Beach for our annual walk and run! We've created a gorgeous 5K route (that's 3.1 miles) that is one of the most beautiful places in Seattle to walk or run! Our timed run and walk offers participants a scenic tour of Alki Beach with breathtaking views of Puget Sound.

Collecting donations is a great way to show your support. We encourage all participants to meet a minimum $100 fundraising goal. While fundraising is not required, we hope you will help us provide for the basic needs of women who are battling breast cancer. Click here for a handy sheet to track your pledges Pledge Sheet. The Route
Krieger Dental invites the community to enjoy the sights and sounds of West Seattle on our 3.1 journey. Our route includes Alki Beach and the restored Bathhouse, Alki Beach Park, Anchor Park, and stunning views of the Seattle waterfront. There are cheering stations along the way, as well as restrooms and first aid for your comfort and safety.

Once registered, please review the Training Packet, as it is filled with useful information. We provide training tips, give you fundraising ideas, plus safety and route information.

Starting March 1st, we'll offer on-line registration at www.AlkiBeachRun.com, in-person registration starting in June at CAPERS, 4525 California Ave SW (206-932-0371), West Seattle Runner, 3727 California Ave SW (206-938-0545), or you can print out and send in the Registration Form and Release & Waiver. It is offered here in PDF format. Once we receive your registration form, we will send you an e-mail confirming your registration. Pre-registration is suggested; event day check-in time is 8:00am, start time is 9:00am.

Note regarding parking on Sunday August 28th
the 5k route will close Alki and Harbor Avenues starting at 8am. As you may know, parking is always challenging at Alki Beach. Please plan to carpool, take the bus, or come early to allow time for parking in the area.
