Northwest Hope & Healing hosts a special evening for dads and their daughters to celebrate their special bond and create memories to last a lifetime. Please join us for an evening filled with good food, fun music, dancing, and more.
Tickets will go on sale soon! Rainier Golf & Country Club.
Thank you to all the Dads and Daughters who attended the 2013 dance!

Celebrate a survivor. Honor someone you’ve lost to breast cancer. Support friends, family and co-workers.
Please join us for our annual 5k walk and run, sponsored by Sound Orthodontics, as we raise money and awareness to help provide every day essentials for women who are battling breast cancer.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of Alki Beach & the West Seattle waterfront on this out-and-back 5k route from the Statue of Liberty at Alki Beach Park & the historic Bathhouse, along the waterfront to Anchor Park.
We encourage all participants to meet a $100 minimum fundraising goal. Although fundraising is not required, we hope you will join us in providing basic needs to women who are battling breast cancer. $25 provides a Healing Basket, $50 buys groceries, $100 keeps the lights on and the phone connected, $250 ensures childcare during treatment and recovery, $500 helps prevent an eviction.

Women Winemakers of the Pacific Northwest
Wine Tasting Event
Thursday November 21, 2013 6-8pm
True Family Women's Cancer Center at Swedish
Thank you to our guests who joined us for an evening of wine tasting to support the Healing Programs of NW Hope & Healing.
Over the past 10 years, women have been making notable advances in the field of winemaking, and now, some of the most notable and influential people in the wine industry are women. A growing group of young female winemakers has come onto the scene and now run some of the area's most promising wineries. These talented women are influencing the style and the quality of wines in the Pacific Northwest.
In a welcoming setting with live jazz music from Jump Ensemble, we had the opportunity to meet award-winning female winemakers as well as those who are up and coming in their field and sampled their creations.
Participating winemakers included Kay Simon of Chinook Wines; Hillary Sjolund of Sonoris Wines (previously with DiStefano); Kelly Hightower of Hightower Cellars; Marie-Eve Gilla from Forgeron Cellars; Katy Smith Perry from Tildio Winery; Sheila Nicholas from Anam Cara Cellars; and Bin 41 Junction Wine Shop.
Tickets are $40.00. True Family Women's Cancer Center at Swedish,

Berl (Beryl) Baxter Vintage Quilt Raffle
Historic Treasure Will Provide Hope!
This Berl Baxter quilt is a historic treasure and takes us back to the early days of Northwest Hope & Healing (NWHH), when one of the first fundraising items was a hand sewn quilt.
This quilt top is an original design, created and hand stitched, by Ms. Berl Baxter. The quilt, which can be used as a wall hanging as well as a coverlet for the bed, was completed and hand tied by professional quilter Patricia Jones. A machine stitched decorative label is hand sewn to the backing. Fabric dates to late 1950’s or early 1960’s. Queen size measures approx 83” wide by 76” long and is 100 percent cotton.
Ms. Baxter began quilting when she was 20 years old, is known for her small and perfectly even stitches, as well as the more than 100 quilts she made during the course of her life. Ms. Baxter’s quilts show a highly diverse range of beautiful designs and a mastery of this folk-art form.
This quilt would be the perfect holiday gift or beautiful home decoration.
Congratulations to Dawn from Olympia for being the lucky winner.
Your contribution will offer many women HOPE.
Ticket revenue was matched by the quilt donor, JoAnne Matsumura, to provide grants to women fighting breast & gynecologic cancer through the Healing Programs of NW Hope & Healing.
